Sunday Adult Learning Fellowships - 10:45 AM
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
Here is your answer to the question, “Why should I join an adult learning group on Sunday morning?” Through the study of God’s truth, you are equipped to do the things that God wants you to do. That is important.
Our learning groups are chosen to give you an opportunity to deepen in your understanding of God and His word. We encourage you to join one of them today.
Note that we also have classes for Children, Middle School and High School that meet during this time, so bring the entire family and join us for a great spring of fellowship, prayer and learning from God’s Word together.
Adult Learning Fellowship - Summer 2010
Sundays from 10:45 – Noon, July 11 through September 5
Reflections on Psalms 21-29 (at the Taylor Home next to the church)
The Psalms come out of life. They are about joy, sorrow, fear, and faith. The psalmist experiences his life and shares his poetic response for all to see. God has included these Psalms in His word that you might see how the psalmist's responses help you to understand God better and face life in His wisdom. You are invited to reflect on Psalms 21-29 and how they relate to your every day life. - led by Pastor Taylor.
The Kings and I (Rooms 204 - 206)
How is it that God, as the King of the Universe, chooses to interact with His people? What role do His leaders play? Who were the kings God used to establish His kingdom, and how does their story affect our lives today? What went wrong in Israel and how can you avoid making those same mistakes today? This summer we will learn from the lives of the Biblical kings, as well as bowing before the King of Kings to whom they point. - led by Pastor Bickel
Ladies Study: Beth Moore’s “So Long Insecurity” (Rooms 103 - 104)
You will learn to overcome fear and doubt and will discover the liberating confidence and security that can only be found in Christ. Insecurity can include self-doubt to perfectionism to preoccupation with self. You can fall into the trap of thinking that a fat bank account, flawless beauty, a designer wardrobe, an exciting career, an adoring husband, perfect children, or a mortgage-free house will make you secure. Not true! So what do you do with your insecurities? Psalm 29:11 says "The Lord gives his people strength; the Lord grants his people security." Join us as we focus on this truth from God’s Word, and learn to become women “clothed in strength and dignity.” - led by Pamela Canning
Young Adults: Before You Say “I DO” (Room 6 - basement)
Is marriage for you? Have you considered staying single? What is a good foundation for a successful marriage relationship? Whether you are satisfied in your singleness or see yourself eventually getting married, this 7 week discussion series for Young Adults will be a useful tool in answering these important questions. - led by Pastor Cowen
